The Korea Tourism Organization (KTO), in collaboration with the Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI), hosted a successful Korea Tourism Roadshow in Delhi on 6th February 2025, engaging key travel trade partners and industry leaders. The event comes as Indian arrivals to South Korea have seen a remarkable 44 per cent increase in 2024, reaching 176,668 visitors, a trend KTO aims to continue in 2025.
During the roadshow, KTO introduced several initiatives designed to enhance travel to South Korea, such as the Korea Premium Travel Consultant (KPTC) program, K-Incentive Scheme 3.0, and MICE support programmes. These efforts aim to facilitate smoother outbound travel and enhance India’s access to South Korea, aligning with the country’s vision of increasing Indian arrivals to 250,000 by 2025.
Myong Kil Yun, Regional Director – India & SAARC Countries for KTO, expressed, “India is a key market, and we are thrilled by the growth in arrivals. Our target for 2025 is to welcome 18.5 million global visitors, including 250,000 from India. Through initiatives like KPTC, we aim to empower travel agents with the right tools to offer bespoke travel experiences.”
Rajan Sehgal, Chairman – Public Relations Council, TAAI, added, “The roadshow provided valuable insights and incentives for the travel trade, and we continue to support KTO in bringing South Korea to the forefront of India’s travel market.”
The KPTC programme, designed for travel agents specialising in premium travel to Korea, offers agents exclusive rewards and training to curate luxury experiences. Meanwhile, KTO’s MICE support continues to strengthen South Korea’s appeal for corporate groups.
