Visit Qatar has concluded its three-city India roadshow, held across Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Kolkata, marking the first major trade engagement of 2026 and underscoring India’s importance as a priority source market for Qatar’s tourism growth strategy.
The event brought together 18 tourism partners, including luxury hotels, destination management companies, and wellness resorts, such as Al Messila Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, Doha; Banyan Tree Doha; Hilton Salwa Beach Resort & Villas; The Westin Doha Hotel & Spa; The St. Regis Marsa Arabia Island; The Outpost Al Barrari; Zulal Wellness Resort; and leading travel service providers including Ali Bin Ali Holidays, Mannai Travel W.L.L, Regency, Musafir.com, TravCo, and Travel Designer.
Collectively, the partners showcased the diversity of Qatar’s tourism ecosystem—from beachfront luxury and desert retreats to urban experiences, cultural districts, and purpose-built wellness centres—all within easy connectivity.
“India is a priority market for Qatar. Our two countries share deep-rooted relations across trade, culture, and tourism, and these ties continue to strengthen. Our focus is to ensure that Indian travellers are fully aware of the breadth and depth of experiences Qatar offers,” said Eng. Abdulaziz Ali Al-Mawlawi, Chief Executive Officer, Visit Qatar.
In 2025, Qatar welcomed over 430,000 Indian visitors, supported by strong aviation connectivity, with multiple daily flights linking major Indian cities to Doha. This accessibility has fuelled sustained growth and positioned Qatar as a preferred short-haul destination for Indian travellers seeking luxury, wellness, and family-friendly experiences.
The roadshow was designed as a curated engagement to facilitate dialogue on market trends, traveller expectations, and evolving product offerings. Discussions centred on helping Indian travel professionals present Qatar as more than a stopover destination—highlighting its potential for tailored itineraries that combine culture, adventure, and premium experiences.
“Travellers today are seeking destinations that combine accessibility with diverse, high-quality experiences. Qatar meets this demand through its blend of culture, heritage, wellness, gastronomy, and world-class events. By working closely with Indian travel professionals, we can provide practical tools and itineraries that deliver meaningful travel experiences,” added Al-Mawlawi.
Qatar’s integrated tourism approach continues to align closely with India’s outbound travel trends across luxury, wellness, weddings, milestone celebrations, and incentive travel. Building on a robust calendar of 600+ global events in 2025, the 2026 India roadshow has set the tone for deeper engagement and long-term collaboration between the two markets.
