Kerala Tourism has unveiled its landmark all-India photo exhibition, Lenscape Kerala, showcasing the state’s charm, diversity and experiential appeal through 100 curated frames by 10 acclaimed travel and media photographers. The exhibition was inaugurated online by P A Mohamed Riyas, Minister for Tourism, Government of Kerala, and will travel across nine other Indian cities over the next three months.
The inaugural ceremony, held at Travancore Palace Gallery, was attended by Suman Billa, IAS, Additional Secretary and Director General, Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, as Chief Guest. Sreedhanya Suresh, IAS, Additional Director (General), Department of Tourism, Government of Kerala, delivered the welcome address. Dr Aswathy Srinivas, Additional Resident Commissioner, Kerala House, New Delhi, curator Uma Nair, and photography director Balan Madhavan offered felicitations.
The exhibition is open to the public from 11 am to 7 pm on January 21–23 in New Delhi, before travelling to Vadodara, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Surat between late January and March 2026.
Describing Lenscape Kerala as an invitation to travellers to rediscover the state through its visual narratives, Minister Riyas said the initiative will be made an annual feature, with each edition showcasing the work of diverse groups such as women, youth or international photographers. “Lenscape Kerala is a creative endeavour that captures the range and scale of Kerala’s offerings for travellers who seek complete and meaningful experiences,” he said.
The featured photographers—Aishwarya Sridhar, Amit Pasricha, H Satish, Kounteya Sinha, Manoj Arora, Natasha Kartar Hemrajani, Saibal Das, Saurabh Anand Chatterjee, Shivang Mehta and Umesh Gogna—travelled through Kerala’s varied landscapes, capturing themes spanning nature, monsoon, heritage, coastal life, cuisine, festivals and spirituality.
Suman Billa noted that Kerala’s enduring appeal lies in its lived experiences and authentic narratives. “A photo exhibition such as this invites people to pause, reflect and engage with the state’s many dimensions, including sites and stories that often remain unexplored,” he said.
Curated by art historian Uma Nair and supported by conservation photographer Balan Madhavan, Lenscape Kerala has been conceptualised as a moving platform to share Kerala’s warmth and visual diversity across India—reinforcing the state’s position as one of India’s leading experiential tourism destinations.
